We updated our kitchen and bathrooms by adding new granite countertops and restaining the cabinets. We also added a new tile backspash. We are really excited about the way it turned out. Above is the before of my kitchen and below is the after. I wish we could of gotton new appliances but that is a future project.
Below is the guest bathroom. I really like the back splash we picked out.

I completely missed this post! I love and am so jelouse of the changes, my dream is granite.....someday, someday!!!
